Do we really use only 10 percent of our brain? Often we hear that, as humans, we’ve used only 10% of our brain. Many say if we manage to use more than 10% of that, we can do amazing things. But the truth is, is it all true?
That’s not true. Because, through brain scans like PET and MRI, we know that 90% of our brains aren’t just idle. Our brains are like the control centers of our bodies. Every part of our brain has its function. Therefore, if one part of our brain is impaired such as trauma or stroke, then the function of that part of our brain will also be impaired. Of course, the disorder, wouldn’t be a problem if we, as human beings, actually used only 10% of our brain.
But if I’m wrong, why is this so popular? This can be popular because of the number of people, movies, books, places for lessons to internet articles that keep telling this to the wider community so that it is finally considered true. The use of the 10% brain gives in quotation marks, “hope” to people as if they could be more than their current situation. Of course, now we know, that hope turns out…fake.
So yes, of course, there are still many myths that name the science that is circulating out there. And of course, we can’t just believe what we accept. Also includes this article, but it certainly has a source. We have to keep learning, keep being open, that what we know may be wrong and has evolved, so we keep learning, and we keep looking. So now, I repeat my previous question again, do we really use only 10 percent of our brain? Hopefully, now you have the answer.
