Is Our Work System Wrong All This Time?

Spread the love

What do we imagine when we hear the word OFFICE? Imagine the rules in the office and don’t forget… overtime! Not to mention when we go home, we always meet people that are sometimes annoying. On the weekends, when we want to meet family or just have fun, we are too tired to do anything….hmm…… If this is the case, how do we get a “work-life balance” huh?Is our work system wrong all this time?

While sitting in the office maybe some of us often think about vacation, what do we imagine…. possible…. Well, if you’re working all the time, it can be a burden that makes us more stressed.

Is our work system wrong all this time? Or not?

This condition is not only a concern of us today, more than 100 years ago this condition was once referred to as “Alienation” by a philosopher named Karl Marx. Uncle Marx said a lack of time for the things we enjoy and for gathering with the family will make us alienated from our humanity.

In contrast, as social beings, such activities can make us able to live happily. For example, if you work happily, you don’t need to balance work and recreation anymore, right?

But, times have changed. Because there’s already… This. In the end, many new, eccentric jobs emerged, because they were far different from the work system in general. For example, there appeared a group of people who were nicknamed the name of this fruit(Tomato): DIGITAL NOMAD.

So, because it can work remotely via the internet, Digital Nomad logically can work from anywhere. Starting from the house, Coffee shop, Beach, Mountain, Jungle Forest, and Restaurant until next to a power pole that was hit by a car. Everywhere you can mention it.

As long as there are plugs and internet. That’s why nowadays, there is also an office space whose complicated name is Co-working Space. Here, what people work on is the word “co”. Where people can get together and work together with the same interests, but also get to know other people with different backgrounds and expertise and even collaborate there!

Well, there’s nothing wrong with co-working spaces popping up everywhere, and we don’t want to be left behind either.

Technology will be more advanced. Times will be very different in the future. There are many new professions we can’t imagine will emerge in the future, which will confuse our parents, because they didn’t exist in their time. So, are we all ready for it? And as always thanks for visiting us.
