Is There Any Evidence of Life Beyond Earth?

Spread the love

Is there any evidence of life beyond Earth? Our universe is like infinity. There are about 100 billion stars like the sun in our galaxy, 200 billion galaxies in our universe and maybe there are billions of planets that can be lived like the earth. If our universe is so full of life — why haven’t we met them so far? Shouldn’t space be filled with other lives and at least we’ve met one of them by now? Where, them, all? It’s called the Fermi Paradox.

In fact, for the past 40 years, we’ve been sending radio signals into space in the hope that they’ll be answered by something out there. But in fact, no one has answered yet. So, possibly these are the answers to why we haven’t found another life so far.

Extensive Universe

The reason why we haven’t found another life yet is probably that our universe is too vast. Perhaps they’re all there, but we can’t communicate with each other, because it’s a very, very long distance between us. Even if we manage to build a spacecraft as fast as light, it takes about 4000 years from earth to the nearest star in our solar system.

Different senses

If other lives exist, are they like us, and have the same senses? Will they be able to read the radio signal we’ve been sending? And do we know where they are? And do they live on a planet like ours or a place completely beyond our imagination?

They Ignore Us

Then there’s another possibility, they already know where we are, but they choose to ignore us. Perhaps, there’s a galactic empire out there that deliberately ignores us, because it considers us to be some kind of strange and dangerous meatball-eating species?

Aliens Don’t Have Intelligence

There may be millions of lives out there, but the figure is not what we imagined. Maybe they’re just microorganisms that only care about their environment, and don’t have the intelligence we do.

Self-Destructive Instinct

Or rather life, including ours, basically has an instinct to destroy itself. So they all end up extinct on their planet before they can explore space.

There is an Alien Ruler

Or perhaps, there’s an alien ruler out there who destroyed other alien civilizations, leaving our galaxy empty. If so, then we’ll just have to wait our turn before being eaten by the alien ruler.

Aliens Are On Earth

Even though it sounds funny, perhaps they’re among us, stalking us with an unknown purpose.

Life Is Rare

Or maybe, life in the universe itself is very rare. It may take very, very special conditions, for life to start somewhere.

We Are the First

Or perhaps, we haven’t met another life because of us… Is the first life. Maybe we’re completely alone in this galaxy or even this universe of ours. All this time, we’ve been looking for something that never existed. Yeah, it may sound awful, but it’s also probably the answer to the Fermi Paradox.

So, this question seems to remind us that there are still a lot of things that we don’t know in the universe. Perhaps it’s been too long since we’ve focused here, and maybe now it’s time we collaborated on something much bigger out there. How about you? In your opinion, is there any evidence of life beyond Earth?
