What If the Water on Earth Disappeared?

Spread the love

We live on a planet that is 71 percent of the surface… covered in water. Our body contains a lot of water and that makes us need to drink every time we do something. But what if the water on earth disappeared in an instant?

What will happen?

In short, without water, all living things on earth will become extinct: from humans, and plants, to animals that have been around us… won’t last long. All the fish in the sea will die in a matter of hours! Humans can’t even last longer than a week. But… what will happen to our beloved earth?

First, the earth will get very, very hot! Just imagine that our oceans store the largest carbon dioxide gas. If there is no water, all of these gases are free to air, trapped in the atmosphere, and a greenhouse effect appears which makes the temperature of the earth’s surface increase… and increase! If you have this, it’s just a matter of time until the fate of the earth is the same as that of planet Mars! Earth is no longer beautiful with its blue and green colors but has become a round brown ball. What a horror!

Not only that, but without water, the earth would become a planet filled with high mountains! An empty ocean becomes a valley many kilometers deep! Not to mention the tectonic plates that collide and soar up because there is no weight of seawater to hold them up. Volcanoes die because there is no water, which is one of the main ingredients for magma to form. So, if an earth without water occurs, maybe our home plains will be far away!

But if that’s the case, can we just make some water?

Hmm, in theory this thing… can be done! But, even though water consists of only 2 elements, the process of mixing them is extremely difficult! The only way to combine these 2 elements is to be lit… fire! But the problem is… making water that way — especially in large quantities — can be very dangerous because it will cause a big explosion! Uhh… until there is even more advanced technology… producing water in large quantities we still keep it as wishful thinking.

So now we know that the earth without water is the same as doomsday! That’s why, while the water supply is still there, we should save money and protect the environment so that the water on earth doesn’t get more polluted.
