If you look at the movies, it seems like it’s really fun to live in outer space! Unfortunately, it’s all fiction. But, can humans evolve to live in space, and even create our own country?
Yes, indeed the earth is the most comfortable place in the universe, for us. There’s oxygen, water, food, and uhh… internet. Our bodies can still adjust to the temperature and weather. And, Earth also has an atmosphere layer. This layer protects us from many things. But, is the situation on Earth the same as in outer space?
From Earth, outer space is pleasing to the eye. But out there, things turned out to be much crueler than in New York City. If we weren’t superhuman, it would be impossible for us to last long. Because of course, there is a vacuum, and there is no oxygen in outer space. In fact, without oxygen, we will pass out in 15 seconds. Add another minute and a half, and our lives… will be lost. Not to mention the temperature that can be cold or even hot half to death. And without gravity holding back, our bodies will float… and continue to float… until the end.
Fortunately, the experts managed to outsmart this problem through advanced technologies! Namely, by launching a spacecraft, and creating a space station! This station is equipped with oxygen reserves and artificial shields, which can protect passengers from outside threats, such as harmful radiation. At this station, astronomers examine space directly, including the possibility of humans being able to live outside Earth. If you need to travel, the astronauts just wear special clothes, which function like a mini space station. Even the models also vary even though they are not sold freely in online stores.
But, you know that we are also Earth creatures, so our lives must be more difficult in outer space. Because going back and forth is difficult, food and water are scarce. Astronauts have to recycle their urine and sweat for bathing and other daily needs. In addition, our bodies also experience side effects, especially if we start to stay away from Earth for a long time. That’s why, even in outer space, astronauts still have to be diligent in exercising.
Until there is more sophisticated technology, let’s just save the dream of living in outer space, while caring for and enjoying the Earth, while we still can. And as always, thank you.
